Gentle Care Dentistry & Implants is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of patient care.

Conformance status

We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the most widely used standard for web accessibility, and we also test against the newer WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria, such as minimum target size and visible focus.

What we have done

Semantic page structure: one main heading per page, logical heading order, and landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer
A "Skip to main content" link as the first item on every page
Every feature works with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator
Text alternatives for all meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from screen readers
Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios, including text placed over photos
Pages that reflow without horizontal scrolling at 320 pixels wide and remain usable at 200% zoom
Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels, and most at 44 pixels or more
Respect for your device's "reduce motion" setting, a pause button on the scrolling services band, and no flashing content
Interactive parts, such as the implant step guide, review carousel and question lists, use standard controls with proper names and keyboard support
Maps include a text address and a directions link, so the map itself is never the only way to find us

How we test

Every page is checked with automated testing (axe-core and Lighthouse) at desktop and mobile sizes, and by hand with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom and reduced-motion settings. Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so manual review is part of every update.

Accessibility is built into the code of the site itself. We do not use an accessibility overlay widget, because those tools often interfere with the assistive technology people already rely on.

Known limitations

The embedded Google Map is provided by Google and may not be fully accessible. The same address, hours and a directions link are always available as text on the page.
Links to outside websites, such as Google reviews or financing providers, are not under our control.
